Korangy has built a popular national real estate industry media publication since founding The Real Deal in New York City in 2003. The publication maintains a heavy focus on its New York home but has increasingly expanded its coverage nationally including opening bureaus in several other markets such as Miami and Los Angeles. The publication claims a print readership of 132,000 and a monthly online audience of over 2.6 million visitors. He serves on the Board of Directors for SalesCrunch and is an adjunct associate professor of media and real estate at New York University.
