Mayi de la Vega co-founded the Coral Gables-based One Sotheby’s International Realty in 2008 at the depth of the global economic recession alongside her son Daniel. Where others may have faltered amid the housing crises, Cuban-born Mayi thrived, eventually expanding the business to 33 offices and a global network that spans 81 countries. Together, the mother-son team (Mayi is the CEO, Daniel the president) has overseen approximately 1,350 agents and nearly $7 billion in annual sales.
