In 2025, Herrera began her term as president of the National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals, an organization focused on advancing Hispanic homeownership through advocacy and education. Herrera has over 35 years of industry experience working at the Chicago-based Century 21 TK Realty Inc., which she now owns. She and her immigrant family were tenants of TK Realty founder Tom Kostopoulus after they moved to the US when she was 8.
