She has had an active 2020, which will continue in 2021 and beyond as she helps NAR respond to and deal with the class-action antitrust commission lawsuits that name NAR as a defendant. Johnson helped settle an antitrust lawsuit filed by the U.S. Department of Justice related to buyer’s agent commission policies NAR set for affiliated MLSs. Johnson joined NAR in 2007 and became general counsel in 2014.
