After serving as president-elect in 2025, Brown became NAR president in 2026, succeeding Kevin Sears as president of the nation’s largest trade industry association. Brown is a second-generation real estate professional with four decades in the industry, a broker-owner at Better Homes Realty and Brown Commercial Investment Real Estate Services in California and served as president of the California Association of Realtors in 2014. His brother Bill Brown served as the 2017 president for NAR.
