NAR’s chief advocacy officer since 2020, McGahn is tasked with messaging the association’s policies on Capitol Hill, with goals ranging from improving access to homeownership and ensuring fair housing to promoting industry research. In 2025, she represented the 1.5-million member organization in bipartisan meetings on housing affordability and related policy, among other key issues. Before joining NAR in 2018 as its first female executive of government affairs, she tallied nearly two decades working on Capitol Hill.
