Shortly after being named CEO of Douglas Elliman Real Estate in late 2024, Liebowitz hit the gas, announcing the launch of Elliman International, a global division with an immediate focus on luxury hotspots throughout Latin America, the Middle East and Asia. But that was just the start: By September, the brokerage under Liebowitz’ leadership had unveiled the Elliman Private Listings platform, launched Elliman Capital, an in-house mortgage service, and joined the American Real Estate Association, a rival to NAR. A serial entrepreneur with more than 25 years of experience founding, acquiring and monetizing firms, Liebowitz also owns the Mondrian South Beach Hotel in Miami. Not bad for a Staten Island boy.
