A longtime MLS executive, Paine has led the 15,000-member MARIS MLS since 2024 and spearheaded the launch of its broker revenue share program the following year. On his watch, MARIS also expanded reciprocal access agreements and launched its Seller Approved Marketing (SAM) status. Prior to his work with the St. Louis-based MLS, Paine built the Connecticut MLS before serving as co-CEO when it became SmartMLS in 2017. He also previously held leadership roles at eXp Realty and CoStar Group and oversaw US operations for PropTechBuzz, a site that connects investors with real estate startups.
