Atuel has served as executive director of the Asian Real Estate Association of America (AREAA) since 2012. Founded in 2003, the San Diego-based AREAA supports Asian American, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander real estate professionals and homebuyers. Prior to her time at AREAA, Atuel was the director of marketing and member resources at the Appraisal Institute, a Chicago-based nonprofit.
