SP 200 Ranking
Two years into his CEO role at Rocket, Krishna became a major player in the industry when his company, the US’s second-largest purchase loan originator, acquired Redfin — the eighth-largest brokerage and a top-three portal — in July 2025. The move activated his ambitious plan to transform residential real estate by stitching together a comprehensive experience anchored by a mortgage company, brokerage and a dominant portal.
The Redfin acquisition was quickly followed by another, perhaps even more significant deal: the addition of the US’s largest mortgage servicer, Mr. Cooper, in October 2025. With those acquisitions secured, Krishna now has the tools in place to achieve his goal of providing a comprehensive, integrated real estate experience to vast numbers of consumers. He has laid out a disciplined, focused plan, which includes leveraging AI, to efficiently execute this vision at scale.
Krishna's integrated real estate vision is already bearing fruit in 2025, marked by:
“We are a homeownership company bringing end-to-end integration to housing at a scale the industry has never seen,” Krishna shared on Rocket's last earnings call of 2025. With previous leadership stints as general manager of Intuit and PayPal, he has over two decades of experience building consumer platform strategies for leading global companies, and he’s bringing that skill and perspective to the brokerage industry.
Rocket and Krishna have more big goals for 2026. While the company has some work to do in integrating Redfin and Mr. Cooper, early results suggest a combined business operating at full throttle. Krishna’s clear, scaled vision for an integrated real estate experience — and his aggressive, all-in pursuit of it — has propelled him to the very top of the residential real estate leaderboard.
