Sue Yannaccone makes a leap into the top 10 of the 2023 SP 200 as she added leadership of the Coldwell Banker Real Estate franchise brand and Anywhere’s brokerage wing, Anywhere Advisors, in late 2022.
In her expanded role, Yannaccone oversees the operations of the nation’s largest real estate franchise group, whose combined U.S. 196,000 agents did over $737 billion in sales and 1.5 million transactions in 2021. This includes all of the other Anywhere franchise brands, which, in addition to Coldwell Banker, includes Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate, Century 21, Corcoran, ERA and Sotheby’s International Realty.
Included in this role, she also manages Anywhere’s brokerage division Anywhere Advisors, the company-owned offices that collectively rank as the nation’s second largest real estate brokerage with over $244 billion in annual sales and over 56,000 agents.
While its net profits dropped through the first three quarters of 2022 compared to the same period a year ago from $301 million to $169 million, Anywhere still stands as one of the nation’s most profitable brokerage companies in an era where profitability has become more highly valued and harder to come by. Anywhere’s real estate operations, which Yannaccone now leads, plays a big role here.
Widely known as strategic leader and an advocate for women leaders in real estate, Yannaccone founded and runs “What Moves Her,” a movement designed to help develop women leaders in the industry. It is fitting then that she this year becomes the most powerful woman in residential real estate as well as achieving the No. 6 slot on the overall 2023 SP 200 list of the most powerful people in residential real estate.
